Children’s Division

At NAB School, we offer a range of exciting and engaging dance classes for our youngest students. Our Creative Movement 1 & 2, Ballet/Tap Combo and Pre-Ballet are specifically designed for children aged 3-7, where they can explore their imagination and express themselves through joyful and imaginative movement. It provides a nurturing environment that encourages self-confidence and creativity.

For children ages 7-9, we offer Ballet Basics classes, which lay the foundation for classical ballet technique and discipline. These classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, and musicality while instilling a love for ballet.

Our experienced instructors ensure that each child receives the individual attention and guidance they need to thrive in their dance journey.

Please note: For this division, students can attend one or two classes per week for their class level.

Creative Movement 2

Ages 5-6

Using concepts from Creative Movement 1, dancers continue to explore their creativity through activities, props, and games while starting to name movements with correct dance vocabulary. An additional focus is placed on coordination, balance, and posture.

Ballet/Tap Combo

Ages 5-6

This class introduces tap vocabulary and rhythm skills alongside a Creative Ballet curriculum. This class is divided into 30 minutes of each style of dance with creative activities incorporated. In Tap, students work on their body control and foot articulation to complete basic vocabulary and rhythm patterns. In Ballet, attention is given to awareness of posture and class etiquette as well as continuing the study of basic ballet vocabulary. Students continue to explore their own creativity, coordination and musicality through the study of two styles of dance.

Pre-ballet introduces French ballet terminology into a fun and imaginative syllabus. Classes include age-appropriate ballet technique, teamwork, self-discipline, and ballet etiquette.
