FAQs - NAB Youth Productions
When are rehearsals held?
Rehearsal times change depending on the needs of the specific production.
In general, they are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays for NAB Youth students.
Please refer to the Cast Info Page for the most up to date rehearsal information.
There is a waiting area for dancers that have breaks between rehearsals with a parent volunteer assigned to watch.
We offer a Ballet technique class for ages 11+ from 10 - 11:30 on Sundays prior to rehearsals.
Where will rehearsals be held?
Studios @ NAB
Entrance & Parking:
38 Norman St,

Waiver
Every student must have a signed copy of our liability and likeness release form on file before they can participate in rehearsals. The form only needs to be submitted once per student and can either be printed and signed at home or at the studio.
How much are fees to perform?
Single Roles: $200
Multiple Roles: $300
This covers rehearsal time, costuming maintenance, tech & dress rehearsal time.
Payment plans for NAB Youth are available. Please see the director to set this up.
What do these theater terms mean?
Tech: every dancer learns where they go onstage and how to stay safe in the wings. (MANDATORY for safety)
Dress rehearsal: a full run-through of the show in costume & make up. (MANDATORY for dancing on stage)
Call time: your dancer is expected to check in at the theater at this time to get settled and prepared to perform
How do I know if my child was picked for a role ?
Although NAB tries to offer all children a role, there may be limitations to what is available. Once dancers have begun pointe work their technique is closely scrutinized onstage and so dancers must have a certain level of training after 10 yrs of age. Dancers accepted into our productions will be working alongside highly regarded professionals and so expectations must be met. You will receive an email from info@northatlanticballet.org with our decision within a week of the audition.
If your child doesn’t like the role(s), can I reject my audition acceptance?
North Atlantic Ballet creates performances as a team. All roles are important to create an overall unified production. Roles will always be selected with the company's best interests at heart. That being said, you or your child can decline roles and they will be assigned to another dancer. If you accept one role you accept them all.
