Lucy Warren-Whitman
Artistic Director/ Founder
A proud native of the Boston area, Lucy Warren-Whitman started her early classical training under her parents Rachel Whitman and Skip Warren. She was mentored by Larissa Luvisichuk until she was accepted to Walnut Hill, School of Performing Arts on a full scholarship. There she had the pleasure of training under Samuel Kurkjian, Diedre Miles, and Sydelle Gomberg.
Throughout her career, Lucy has been a featured artist and choreographer, dancing and creating new works for The Massachusetts Dance Festival, Spindle City Ballet, Boston Dance Company, Contrapose Dance, BalletRox, Pioneer Valley Ballet and Lorraine Chapman Dance Company. Her professional career as a dancer & choreographer led her to founding North Atlantic Ballet in 2013.
Since founding North Atlantic Ballet, Warren-Whitman has originated many full-length ballets including Cinderella, A Mid Summer Night’s Dream, The Little Mermaid and her interpretation of The Nutcracker, based on childhood holiday parties hosted by her parents. In addition, she is committed to fostering new artistic works by local choreographers and musicians.
Lucy is also the founder of the NAB School, specializing in pre- professional training and providing students the opportunity to learn and perform alongside her company dancers.
