Dracula NAB Youth Registration

  1. Register your child(ren) for the correct group and pay the registration fee: Dracula | $200/student

  2. Please ignore the class times on the portal for schedule. The correct Rehearsal schedule will be listed on the GOOGLE CALENDAR below.

Please register by September 1.

Calendar & Rehearsal Schedule

Two absences are allowed per student. If you have a conflict, please contact us via email: info@northatlanticballet.org

Studio rehearsals are on Sundays, September 15-October 13.

Performance Week Schedule

October 17 - 20th

Performances held at the historic Cabot Theatre in Beverly, MA

Mandatory Theater Attendance:

Tech & Dress Rehearsal

Thursday, October 17th:

  • 9 am : Call to theater for all ages

  • 9:15 - 9:30 am: Meeting with Artistic Director

  • 9:30 am - 12 pm: Tech rehearsal

  • 12 - 1 pm: Warm up class

  • 1 - 2 pm: Lunch break & prepare for dress rehearsal

  • 2 - 5 pm: Dress rehearsal

Performance Schedule:

Saturday, October 19th:

  • 4 - 4:15 pm: Call to theater for dancers on pointe

  • 4:30 - 6 pm: Class on stage (Required for dancers on pointe)

  • 5:30 pm: Call to theater for all dancers not on pointe

  • 6 - 7 pm: Prepare for show

  • 7 - 9 pm: Performance

Sunday, October 20th:

  • 9 - 9:15 am: Call to theater for dancers on pointe

  • 9:30 - 11 am: Class on stage (Required for dancers on pointe)

  • 10:30 am: call to theater for dancers not on pointe

  • 11 am - 12 pm: Prepare for show

  • 12 - 2 pm: Performance

COSTUME REQUIREMENTS

Undergarments

  • Skin tone camisole leotard

  • Trunks the same color as tights for any dancers in tutus

  • Tights: pink mesh seamed tights

Hair & Make-up

  • Hair: High, flat buns; french twists for advanced students (when needed)

  • Makeup: softer reds or darker pink tones for lipstick, neutral tones for eye shadow

  • All dancers should come with their own makeup & hair supplies

  • Specific hair or make-up requirements based on roles will be communicated directly.

Shoes

  • Ballet slippers: canvas split sole (any brand that dancer is comfortable in)

  • Pointe shoes: “pancaked” this means taking the shine out of the pointe shoes.

    • Calamine lotion or foundation can be used to do this.

    • Here is a video how to.

    • ONLY pancake the satin.

    • Do not pancake the tip or bottom (sole) of the shoe

    • DON’T DO THIS AT THE LAST MINUTE!!!- it takes time to dry


Waivers

Every student must have a signed copy of our liability and likeness release form on file before they can participate in rehearsals. The form only needs to be submitted once per student and can either be printed and signed at home or at the studio.

Call for Volunteers

  • Promotional Volunteers: Help get the word out about shows. We need people interested in getting their steps in by “postering” towns in and around Beverly. You will be given posters & postcards to hand out or put up in businesses.

  • The Costume Mistress: Can you sew? You will need to be ready to fix small sewing issues.

  • The Makeup Attendant: Apply makeup to multiple individuals before show. (only needed pre-show)

  • The Hair Enforcer: Make sure all buns are appropriately made and help with hair where needed.

  • The Runner: Get your steps in running dancers from the dressing rooms to the stage and making sure they stay quiet.

  • The Boutique: Help sell goodies in the lobby Boutique. You will need to take cash or help with Venmo payments.

The Makeup Attendant or Hair Enforcer can also be a Runner!

We may not need everyone that signs up so we’ll let you know who we are booking. Please fill out what role you want for each show.
