Stephen Behan

Dancer

A New York native, Stephen James Behan trained at The School of American Ballet in New York City and American Dance Theater in Herricks, NY. He furthered his training at The Ailey School as a fellowship scholarship student and graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance from State University of New York (S.U.N.Y.) Purchase College in White Plains, NY. Stephen spent summers training with Miami City Ballet, Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Dance International NY in Spain and New York.

He has performed with Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, apprenticed with the Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett in Nurnberg, Germany,and danced with Ballet Hispanico’s Second Company, VERB Ballet, and American Midwest Ballet. Stephen has also guested for Eglevsky Ballet and the RG Dance Project in addition to numerous companies in the Boston area..

Stephen was a featured dancer in Greta Gerwig’s Motion Picture “Little Women” and worked with Monica Bill Barnes and Flannery Gregg.

Stephen is passionate about the performing arts, both on and off stage, with a commitment to sharing his love of live performances with all audiences.
